In 2007 we expanded into Backing Track production based on requests from our clients.  In 2008 we expanded to offer full DAW mixing.  In 2009 we upgraded our suite of hardware and software tools to ensure the best environment available for our audio.  In 2010 we moved to a much better sounding larger room for mixing and mastering, and added MIDI conversions to our services... and we'll continue to grow our offerings...stay tuned!

Engineering is still knowledge, practice, environment and experience. Gator-Studios.com is the virtual studio for the RiffWorks user, where you can take advantage of a proper listening environment and Gator's experience for whatever your project calls for, whether mixing and mastering or more advanced needs.  We've built a studio far beyond what the typical RiffWorks user has access to, with first rate equipment and monitoring capabilities.  We've invested...so you don't have to!

Part of what we do here is educate. We are active on a number of forums, helping people to understand how to record better music. Our RiffWorks mixes are always returned so the client can see "how it was done" and learn from it. We produce articles to help new users get started with recording. The time spent is well rewarded...we are making a positive impact on the music and the artists!

We listen. A music project is a very personal thing, to some people it's on the order of having children! We understand this personal relationship you have with your music and strive to make sure the mix or final master is what you desire.

We're flexible! At Gator-Studios.com we have many tools available beyond what RiffWorks can provide. On previous projects we've done vocal pitch correction, timing corrections, pitch shifting, and audio imports where required to make the project shine, and were able to keep the final product in RiffWorks. In other cases we've taken the mix out of RiffWorks totally to incorporate things like loops and MIDI "extras" that the artist desired.

Spend your time playing guitar! We've also found that most of you would really rather be playing guitar or writing new songs than spending all of  your time trying to get a good mix. Many folks have less than ideal mix environments too...take advantage of ours!

Only Gators make it out of the swamp!  Gator (known in the brick 'n mortar world as J.J.
